How To Lose 15 Pounds Fast

Do you need to lose 15 pounds fast? There are three kinds of pounds you can lose - water, fat or muscle - which ones do you want to lose?

You see, when people talk about losing weight, they don't always comprehend exactly what that means. Most people automatically connect weight with fat, but that's not accurate.

If your goal is to lose 15 pounds just to feel better when you are on the scale, it probably doesn't matter to you whether it is fat, muscle or water that you lose. If your desire is to lose the additional bulge around your stomach, then you are wanting to lose 15 pounds of fat fast.

It doesn't matter if you want to lose fat or pounds, what you need to know is that water makes out a good part of that weight loss. Actually, especially in the first couple of days when dieting, the greatest part of your weight loss will be water.

Numerous websites are claiming that they are able to reveal to you how to lose 15 pounds fast. What they don't always tell you is that losing weight fast can be dangerous to your health. Actually, it solely depends on what you think to be 'fast'. For some people, a month would be fast while others see it as something more immediately, like a few days or a week.

To lose 15 pounds within a months would be the better goal, as it is a lot more achievable. Nonetheless, it is not without risk when the approach to losing weight isn't done correctly.

To lose 15 pounds fast, you can't just lose water, which of course would be the easiest to lose. It is not possible for your body to stay alive without water. Take away the water and it will die.

Starvation or near starvation isn't the answer either. It is a fact that your body will hold back when you don't eat, so you might even increase your weight. When your body isn't getting enough nutrients, warnings go off. In a desperate effort to survive, it hangs onto everything you feed it, which adds weight.

The best way to lose 15 pounds fast is by eating foods such as meat that use more of your energy to digest it. Probably now you will think that you should eat nothing but meat or fish, but I wouldn't recommend that either, as this option is not very healthy either. To stay healthy, you need to feed your body a diet that gives it all nutrients it requires. You can eat a well-balanced diet and still lose weight if you know which foods to choose. Don't start your weight loss plan without taking measurements of your body and don't forget the body weight and fat index. To measure the body fat content you can use special calipers, which are often part of tool kits available at weight loss centers.

Here are some things you can do to lose 15 pounds fast:

1) Avoid foods that cause water retention, like salt. Use less salt and you will soon start to lose weight.

2) Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day to keep your body's digestive process working.

3) Add foods that use more energy to digest, including meat, chicken, salmon, asparagus, cheese, carrots, squash and green beans.

4) Give your metabolism a boost with drinking water (ideally more then 8 glasses) throughout the day.

5) Exercise to build muscle, because muscle increases your metabolism naturally.

Don't forget to take measures of your weight and body every other week and if you don't see any results, make adjustments to your weight loss plan.

Stay loyal to your plan and you can lose 15 pounds fast.
